The Ohio Archaeology documentary series is in post-production
for release to Ohio's public television stations and
schools (OET) in the winter of 2005. Over the past three
years, Voyageur's production team has been traveling
throughout the state, conducting interviews, shooting
seasonal landscapes and documenting archaeological excavations,
laboratory research, artifacts and archival materials.
Thanks to strong support from dozens of scholars and
institutions, we are now editing the final program for
internal reviews. Our target for distribution is February
2005. Ohio Archaeology is taking shape as a mini-series
with three, one-hour episodes. Each episode will cover
two archaeological periods. The final episode will close
with an epilogue introducing contemporary cultural and
scientific issues facing modern archaeology in Ohio.
